Midwives

The midwives work closely with your doctor to offer regular monitoring, help and advice throughout pregnancy and during the first few weeks after birth. They run ante-natal clinics at St Lukes Treatment Centre. Patients have the choice of being booked in for their delivery at either University Hospitals of Leicester or Kettering General hospital.  For further information or advice, please call the community midwives: 

Health visitors

Offer a wide range of help, advice and support for parents with young children.

Counsellors

Qualified mental health professionals who offer help for people suffering with common, non-severe mental health problems. Patients are referred by the GPs. Contact: 01858 464242.

Macmillan nurses

Offer advice and support for patients with serious and often terminal illness, and their families. For further advice, please call Single Point of Access 0300 300 7777.

Attached staff

Community physiotherapists

Offer assessment, advice and treatment for adult patients requiring rehabilitation at home, if they are unable to attend an out-patient department. Referrals can only be made by GPs or other health care professionals. Contact: 0300 300 7777

School nurses

The School Nurses specialise in the health and well being of the school age population. They offer health advice, run the enuresis clinic and deal with child protection. They have an office at St Lukes Hospital (01858 438 121).
